Welcome
The ACM SIGSPATIAL International Conference on Advances in Geographic Information Systems 2025 (ACM SIGSPATIAL 2025), the thirty-second edition, will be held in Minneapolis, MN, USA. The conference began as a series of symposia and workshops starting in 1993 with the aim of bringing together researchers, developers, users, and practitioners in relation to novel systems based on geospatial data and knowledge, and fostering interdisciplinary discussions and research in all aspects of geographic information systems. The conference provides a forum for original research contributions covering all conceptual, design, and implementation aspects of geospatial data ranging from applications, user interfaces, and visualization to data storage and query processing and indexing. The conference is the premier annual event of the ACM Special Interest Group on Spatial Information (ACM SIGSPATIAL). Researchers, students, and practitioners are invited to submit their contributions to ACM SIGSPATIAL 2025.
New Initiatives in SIGSPATIAL 2025
This year, we are starting several new initiatives at the conference, which includes the following:
(1) Research track: Experiment, benchmark, and experience papers: The main Research Track is now considering a new category of papers: Experiment, benchmark, and experience papers CFP for Research Track
(2) Application Track: CFP for Applications track
(3) Industrial Track: CFP for Industrial track
(4) Short Papers Track: CFP for Short Papers Track
(5) Tutorials: Call for Tutorials
(6) PhD and Graduate Studies Workshop with SRC: CFP for PhD and Graduate Studies Workshop and SRC
(7) ACM TSAS Paper Presentations at ACM SIGSPATIAL: Papers that are accepted in the ACM Transactions on Spatial Algorithms and Systems (TSAS) between Oct 1, 2024 and Sep 30, 2025 and are not extension of a prior conference paper will be invited for a presentation at the conference.
